Our chapter has had quite a busy 4thquarter this year. In October we had our annual dinner dance where we honored Sherilyn Wright, Executive Assistant to the International President, and our very own Lacey Cox, LU25 Executive Board and Chapter Executive Board member. It was a fun filled night with representatives from many neighboring ibew unions in attendance. LU25 has recently started an annual Halloween event that we play a pivotal role in. Many of our members help out in many ways from decorating the hall, selling raffle tickets, to dressing up in costumes and cleaning up after the event.
November brought us thanksgiving and our International Day of Service where we linked up with our brothers and sisters from LU 1049 EWMC chapter to volunteer at The Veterans Place, a local shelter for displaced veterans. It was a very rewarding experience to be a part of.
During the month of December we are beginning to wind down and start to plan for the international conference in January. We will also begin planning our schedule for next year. LU 25 has recently started a women’s committee and we have invited the new President and Vice President to our December meeting to begin networking and to help foster them as they grow.
