DAY OF GIVING - COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS
One of the most rewarding conference activities is the Day Of Giving By contributing our skills and talents to the surrounding community, we strive to leave it better than when we arrived. Our volunteer efforts honor the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by helping those who are disadvantaged or do not have the means or resources to help themselves, including our youth, dislocated families and elderly residents of the surrounding community. Projects include electrical work, painting, gardening, food bank worker assistance, and special projects at homeless shelters, churches, juvenile and senior facilities, and schools in the area. Our members take great pride in their work. In January, let’s show Detroit what IBEW/EWMC brotherhood and sisterhood truly means. Join the “Day of Giving” on Thursday, January 11, 2018.
